Chesapeake Region Accessible Boating (CRAB) is a nonprofit organization that provides adaptive sailing and boating opportunities for people with disabilities, recovering veterans, and underserved youth on the Chesapeake Bay. Founded in 1991 by sailor Don Backe after a spinal cord injury, the organization was created to help others experience the freedom and therapeutic benefits of sailing.
