The Backwater Gamblers Water Ski Show Club is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free, high-quality water ski entertainment to the Quad Cities area. Based in Rock Island, Illinois, the club showcases a variety of water skiing talents through regular performances on the Rock River. In addition to entertainment, the Backwater Gamblers are committed to inclusivity through their “Access to Waves” program, which offers adaptive water ski clinics for individuals with disabilities. Since 2005, these clinics have enabled participants with various physical challenges to experience the joy of water skiing using specially designed equipment.
